SIMON BRAY: NEWLYN HARBOUR

Photographer Simon Bray makes a dawn photograph each 30 December, a practice begun after his father died in 2009.

Bray writes that each year on 30 December he goes out at dawn with his camera, wherever he is spending the festive period. The repeated act is an exercise in contemplation and instinct, recording the passing years without a prescribed purpose.
