Puppetry for Therapy

A one-day therapeutic puppetry training course for therapists and counsellors, led by psychotherapist and puppeteer Alison McGowan.

Alison McGowan, a UKCP-accredited child and adolescent psychotherapist and professional puppeteer, leads a practical one-day course introducing therapeutic puppetry skills and techniques. Participants practise attunement and emotional regulation exercises with puppets, explore projective work 'in the metaphor', and learn puppet-making methods to use with clients, making a puppet to take home. The course is aimed at therapists, counsellors and professionals working relationally with children and families, and includes a certificate for 5 hours of CPD.
