Michael Holmes Plays The Mighty Compton Organ Featuring Star Vocalist Roy Chappell

Organist Michael Holmes plays the Plaza's Mighty Compton Theatre Organ with vocalist Roy Chappell in an afternoon of easy listening and Great American Songbook classics.

Michael Holmes hosts an afternoon matinee on the Plaza's Mighty Compton Theatre Organ, joined by vocalist Roy Chappell. Chappell, a Manchester singer whose career ranged from speedway rider at Belle Vue to vocalist with the Sid Phillips jazz band, performs songs in the style of the Great American Songbook era. The event celebrates the classic easy-listening sounds associated with that musical period.
