Talk: Stop-Motion Animation & Performance
About
LAIKA animators Tom Carey and Amy Greenspan discuss how movement, expression and technical production shape stop-motion characters, drawing on the making of Wildwood.
This conversation explores the craft behind character performance in LAIKA’s stop-motion films, including the relationship between animators, puppets, sets, lighting and production teams. The programme draws on Wildwood and considers timing, rhythm and theatrical performance. Tom Carey and Amy Greenspan are currently named; the museum says further speaker information will follow. Member priority booking is advertised, with general booking opening on 7 October. The paid talk lasts from 19:00 to 20:20; no additional sessions or unnamed chair are inferred.
