Desborough Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service
About
Desborough’s Remembrance Sunday programme begins with a parade assembly at the Rushton Road and Station Road junction, then proceeds to St Giles Church for the Service of Remembrance and 11am Last Post and wreath-laying.
Desborough’s churches, Royal British Legion branches and Town Council join the Sunday 8 November 2026 commemorations. The parade congregates in the large Co-op car park at the junction of Rushton Road and Station Road from 9:00 to 9:30am, then proceeds along Station Road and south down High Street to St Giles Church for a 10:00am Service of Remembrance. At 11:00am the Last Post is played, followed by wreath-laying. The Council says Station Road, High Street and Lower Street will close for the shortest time needed for the parade, service and wreath-laying. The 9:00–9:30 time is the assembly window, not an overall event finish; the Council does not publish a departure time or finish time.
