Rhythms of the Divine: Mevlevi Sema Ceremony and Turkish Sufi Music Concert

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality Turkish Sufi Music and Sema Ensemble presents a concert of Turkish Sufi music followed by a Mevlevi Sema ceremony.

This one-night programme pairs a concert of traditional Turkish Sufi music with the Mevlevi Sema Ceremony, bringing musicians, vocalists and semazens together in a ritual of music and movement. The current Sadler’s Wells page names the performing ensemble but no individual musicians or semazens. The published running time is 1 hour 40 minutes, including one 20-minute interval. The performance is for ages 6 and over; under-16s must attend with an adult. This is an independent hire, and the page marks Barclays Dance Pass and Get Into Dance unavailable.
