Ask an archaeologist

Meet Dorset Council's archaeologists at Beaminster Museum to discuss research questions and have archaeological finds identified, by appointment or drop-in.

Claire Pinder, Dorset Council's Senior Archaeologist, and Ciorstaidh Hayward Trevarthen, Finds Liaison Officer for Dorset, will be available to answer questions about Dorset's historic environment and identify finds brought by visitors. At Beaminster Museum the session runs by appointment from 11am to 2pm, with a drop-in session from 2pm to 3pm. Appointments can be made by email, and the Finds Liaison Officer accepts up to 10 finds per person per visit.
