I Am Black Because I Come From The Earth's Inside

Zivarna Murphy presents the exhibition "I Am Black Because I Come From The Earth's Inside" at Humber Street Gallery.

This exhibition invites visitors into an alternatively conceived shell grotto, a space for considering how this architectural form might be reimagined. Murphy re-forms the grotto using locally gathered boulder clay, hand-formed ceramics, and sculptural weaving, exploring themes of class, gender, and Britishness.
