One Night Slam

A two-round poetry slam at LVLS with a £50 cash prize and a featured set from Brighton spoken word artist Gray Taylor.

One Night Slam returns to LVLS for a two-round poetry slam in which every competing poet performs twice, with a three-minute time limit (plus a ten-second grace period) and a £50 cash prize for the winner. Slammer tickets guarantee a place in the slam, with remaining spots available on a first-come, first-served sign-up on the night. The evening also features a guest set from Gray Taylor, a Brighton-based spoken word artist and 2026 Shambala festival slam champion known for mixing serious subjects with humour. Doors and slam sign-up open at 7pm, the show starts at 7:30pm and ends at 10:30pm.
