Assheton Bowmen Novice Portsmouth

An indoor novice archery tournament at Assheton Bowmen shooting a 60-arrow Portsmouth round, with morning and afternoon sessions for archers with under two years' experience.

Assheton Bowmen host a relaxed, friendly indoor Portsmouth shoot aimed at archers with less than two years' experience, though experienced archers may enter without being eligible for awards. Competitors shoot 60 arrows at 20 yards — recurve, barebow and longbow on a single 60cm face, compound on a three-spot face — in ends of three arrows, with awards for each bowstyle. Two sessions run on the day, with registration at 7.30am and 12noon, and refreshments including bacon and sausage muffins, cakes and a raffle available throughout.
