Thornes Park Fireworks

A free family fireworks display choreographed to music at Thornes Park, with street food, funfair rides and live music from Rhubarb Radio.

Wakefield Council, in partnership with the Friends of Clarence, Holmfield and Thornes Parks, presents a fireworks evening at Thornes Park. Two displays are scheduled: a five-minute low-impact firework display at 6pm and a fifteen-minute main display at 7:30pm, both choreographed to music, with live music on the main stage hosted by Rhubarb Radio. The event also features street food vendors, funfair rides and game stalls from Melvyn G Eddys Funfairs. There is no bonfire, and sparklers and personal fireworks are prohibited.
