Volunteer Voices: 60 Years of Volunteering in Northumberland National Park

An exhibition of photographs, recordings and personal artefacts celebrating the volunteers of Northumberland National Park, based on an oral history project.

Marking Northumberland National Park's 70th anniversary, this exhibition draws on an oral history project in which volunteer interviewers recorded conversations with long-serving volunteers between June 2020 and October 2023. Through photographs, recordings and personal objects, it explores the achievements, challenges and memorable moments of those who have contributed to conservation, community engagement and visitor enjoyment over decades. The exhibition runs until spring.
