Fireworks Night

A free community fireworks night on Midsummer Common with walkabout entertainment, food vendors, a live DJ and a 7pm fireworks display.

Cambridge's long-running Fireworks Night brings thousands to Midsummer Common for an evening of free entertainment. Food vendors, a live DJ and walkabout acts run from 6pm, including Ghost Caribou by Thingumajig Theatre — giant illuminated caribou puppets performing folk dance and shadow puppetry — and Sashimi by The Vortexes, stilt-walking jellyfish. The carbon-neutral fireworks display by Pains Fireworks begins at 7pm, with the event running until 9pm.
