Fire and Rain & American Pie

A live tribute concert of late-60s/early-70s American singer-songwriter classics performed by a five-piece band at Cranleigh Arts.

This tribute show celebrates the American folk-pop era of the late 1960s and early 1970s, with songs by James Taylor, Carole King, Simon & Garfunkel, Joni Mitchell, Don McLean, Bread, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, America, the Mamas and the Papas and Carly Simon. A five-piece band performs classics including 'You've Got a Friend', 'American Pie', 'Fire and Rain', 'Big Yellow Taxi' and 'Mrs Robinson' in a relaxed acoustic style evoking Laurel Canyon. The show combines music with narrative and images, and is produced and hosted by singer-guitarist Paul Wheeler with West End actress-singer Sophie Langham.
