Fruit Tree Pruning and General Woodland Garden Care

A hands-on one-day workshop at Perth Community Farm teaching fruit tree pruning and general woodland care, with donations going to the farm.

Ian Watt leads a practical day course on why and how to prune fruit trees, plus general care of trees and woodland. Participants work with hand tools across a young orchard and mixed woodland, learning about forest gardening layers and the role of fungi and mycelia. No experience is needed; attendees should bring boots, gloves, warm waterproof clothing and pruning tools if they have them. The five-hour session includes a lunch break, and donations go directly to Perth Community Farm.
