About
Jennifer Tucker examines how film, photography and lantern slides reshaped the teaching of American history in the 1920s.
This research lunch considers an early effort to build large picture and cinema collections of US history, focusing on how British society was depicted in American educational and theatrical histories from about 1915 to 1930. The talk runs until 13:40, followed by questions until 14:00; light lunch and refreshments are provided.
