About
A centenary lunch marking 100 years of The Scots Independent newspaper, including the Oliver Brown Award presentation to Alan Cumming.
The Scots Independent marks one hundred years of continuous newspaper publishing with a celebratory lunch at the Salutation Hotel in Perth. The programme includes arrival and seating from 12pm, a welcome by Cllr Lesley Backhouse, Convener of the Scots Independent Board, and a three-course lunch with coffee or tea. The highlight is the presentation of the Oliver Brown Award to Scottish actor, broadcaster and theatre director Alan Cumming by First Minister John Swinney MSP. The event runs for three hours.
