Nina and the Hedgehog's Secret

When her father's factory shuts down after financial wrongdoing, ten-year-old Nina and her friend Mehdi hunt for a hidden stash of money to help her family, in this French animated tale of childhood and grown-up worries.

This French animated family feature follows ten-year-old Nina, whose world is upended when her father loses his job after the factory where he works collapses amid dodgy accounting. Hearing that a hidden nest-egg may still lie within the building, she and her friend Mehdi set out to find it and come to her dad's rescue. Directed by Alain Gagnol and Jean-Loup Felicioli, the film blends a coming-of-age story with a contemporary tale in which children's concerns meet those of adults, with voices including Audrey Tautou and Guillaume Canet.
