PAC Fundraiser: Violette – French Film Festival
About
A fundraising cheese-tasting night at Plymouth Arts Cinema with a preview of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's new film Violette ahead of its French release.
This special fundraiser for Plymouth Arts Cinema combines a cheese-tasting evening with an exclusive French Film Festival preview of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Violette (Changer l'eau des fleurs), ahead of its French release on 9 December. The evening begins at 6.30pm with a short talk by cheese expert Matthew Onuki Luke and a cheese tasting, followed by the 137-minute film, with further tasting in the bar afterwards. The bar and box office open from 5pm, with a fundraising raffle. Jeunet's adaptation of Valérie Perrin's best-seller Fresh Water for Flowers stars Leila Bekhti as cemetery caretaker Violette Toussaint and marks his return to cinema after 13 years.
