About
A 160-minute Deptford Scratch showcase presents six new-writing pieces by Global Majority writers.
Deptford Scratch presents six pieces: “Fur Pinched in Desert’s Thirst” by Anayis Der Hakopian; “The Lion, the Wimp and the Wardobe” by Sampathawaduge Silva; “Meet the Parents” by Nicole Latchana; “PROPHETS” by Daniel Abeshin; “The Shubz” by Soukeyna Osei-Bonsu and Mary O’Connell; and “My Mother’s Prayers” by Priscilla Abrafi Krahn. The Albany describes the evening as a showcase of writers, actors, directors and theatre makers from the Global Majority; the listed writers are retained as writers, not assumed performers. The event is for ages 16+, runs 7pm–9:40pm, and uses pay-what-you-decide tickets, with optional further donation; the booking transaction fee is waived.
