Educafe Community Café

A free weekly community café at Newbury Library offering tea, cake and friendly meet-ups including Parent Village, Knit & Natter and Chatty Corner language support.

Educafe hosts a welcoming community café in the Carnegie Room on the first floor of Newbury Library, where anyone can drop in for free tea and cake. The café brings together West Berkshire's diverse communities, aiming to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and connect residents with local services. Alongside the café, visitors can join the Parent Village, Knit & Natter, or Chatty Corner, a language support group welcoming non-native speakers including asylum seekers and refugees. After the café closes, a drop-in seated exercise class takes place in the same room, with a recommended £3 donation to the teacher.
