South Ashdown (southern part) National Event

A national-level orienteering competition on the southern part of Ashdown Forest near Crowborough, organised by Dartford Orienteers.

This national-level orienteering event uses the southern part of the Ashdown Forest map, the area south of the road between Nutley and Crowborough. The 2022 map by Mike Elliott will be printed at 1:10,000 on waterproof paper for longer courses and 1:7,500 for shorter courses, with some updates made for the event. The terrain mixes runnable woodland with intricate contour detail and open regeneration areas of variable runnability. Dogs are permitted on short leads in the car park and on courses.
