Archives Collections and Contemporary Art Practice

Laura Wilson leads a practical and discursive course on how artists work with archives, collections and historic sites.

Readings, screenings, discussion and study visits explore how archives are accessed and interpreted, and how artists develop work in response to their materials. The course considers the roles of curators and commissioners. The course is for adults aged 18 and over and runs as eight two-hour evening classes.
