Carols by Candlelight

Wakefield Cathedral's candlelit Christmas carol concert returns in December 2026 with traditional carols and seasonal music performed by the cathedral choir.

Carols by Candlelight is one of Wakefield Cathedral's most cherished festive events, held in the candlelit surroundings of the cathedral. The programme features traditional carols and seasonal music performed by the Wakefield Cathedral Choir. Each evening runs from 19:00 to 21:30 and includes an interval with a complimentary mince pie and mulled wine, with gluten-free mince pies and juice alternatives available. Two performances are scheduled, on 18 and 22 December 2026.
