About

Chicago post-rock pioneers Tortoise bring their 2026 world tour to Glasgow's Queen Margaret Union in support of their latest album, Touch.

Formed in Chicago in 1990, Tortoise are widely credited as pioneers of post-rock, blending krautrock, dub, jazz and electronica. The quintet of multi-instrumentalists Dan Bitney, John Herndon, Douglas McCombs, John McEntire and Jeff Parker is known for a democratic songwriting process and live shows where members swap instruments mid-set. Doors open at 7pm for this Glasgow date on their 2026 world tour supporting the album Touch.
