Short Film Night
About
An Aevolum Cinema Presents evening of four award-winning short films about consequential choices, followed by an audience vote for a favourite and hosted by a presenter. The programme includes YAKKA, A Great Love, When You Left Me and A Memory Owed.
Aevolum Cinema Presents brings four independent short films to Cranleigh Arts. YAKKA follows two brothers shaped by a violent father and asks whether inherited behaviour can be resisted. A Great Love traces a sculptor’s long devotion to making horses in bronze. When You Left Me follows a father and young son on the tube as a moment of impatience turns into a choice the father regrets. In A Memory Owed, a Second World War veteran returns to the airfield tied to a difficult decision, accompanied by the young carer who helped him make the journey. The audience can vote for a favourite at the end; a presenter hosts the evening. The programme lists Jack Shepherd alongside YAKKA, Aisha Schliessler alongside A Great Love, Jevan Chowdhury alongside When You Left Me, and Martin Hemingway-Moseley alongside A Memory Owed.
