Green: Salman Toor and South Asian Literary Production

Two presentations and a discussion trace the colour green through Salman Toor’s painting and examine queer South Asian literary and artistic production.

The first Frank Davis Memorial Lecture of 2026–27 pairs Evan Moffitt’s account of green pigments and painting history with Aziz Sohail’s discussion of queer South Asian art, literature and music, followed by an in-conversation. Both presentations relate these themes to Salman Toor’s current Courtauld exhibition.
