Postcode: Addressing humans and machines

A talk traces British postcodes through film, music, advertising and community campaigns.

The programme follows addressing from Victorian London to contemporary bureaucracy, cultural identity and automated systems. Archive film, grime lyrics and everyday uses of postcodes show how people adapt and contest systems that organise places. No speaker name is published; cited theorist Friedrich Kittler and photographer Abdalla Elamin are not treated as current speakers.
