About

A talk by Icy Sedgwick exploring theatre superstitions, the concept of the 'ghost light', and the folklore surrounding the Scottish Play.

Theatre is one of humanity’s oldest artforms, and due to the live element, it is often filled with superstitions to ward off misfortune. This talk will explore various theatre superstitions, the concept of the ‘ghost light’, and the specific folklore attached to Macbeth. It will also cover some of the ghost stories associated with the Tyne Theatre itself.
