About

Mary Alexander traces the artists and designers who reshaped the French Riviera as a 1920s summer destination.

The lecture considers how figures including Diaghilev and Poiret brought fashion, theatre and interiors together on the Côte d’Azur, alongside the work of Matisse, Picasso, Dufy, Cocteau and Chanel. These figures are subjects of the talk, not billed participants.
