The Martineau Project
About
An evening of two accessible talks — on modern dating economics and sleep science — from this new London discussion group for the intellectually curious.
The Martineau Project is a social group for the intellectually curious in London, inspired by philosopher James Martineau, holding monthly sessions at The Common Press bookstore in Dalston. The 18 November evening opens with doors at 6:30pm, followed by a talk from UCL economist Dr. Tomas Cvrček, 'The Dating Market Since 2000: Boom or Bust?', and from sleep researcher Dr. Victoria Garfield, 'Could a nap help our brains stay young?'. Each talk is followed by audience questions and discussion, with a refreshment break between, aiming to bring strangers together over big ideas in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
