Unruly Ecologies - An Entangled Reading Group

An art and ecology reading group led by Laura Villares House exploring symbiosis through Merlin Sheldrake and Robin Wall Kimmerer, with a gentle collective art activity.

Unruly Ecologies is an art and ecology reading group aimed at people who don't necessarily like reading groups, with no advance reading required. Guided by artist and educator Laura Villares House, the session asks what happens when we stop thinking of organisms as independent individuals. Participants will consider extracts from Merlin Sheldrake's Entangled Life and Robin Wall Kimmerer's Braiding Sweetgrass, take the insights of a fungus as 'Guest of Honour', and finish with a gentle art activity responding collectively to ideas of symbiosis and reciprocity.
