Aligning Research, Policy and Classroom Practice in Writing with Dr Tim Mills

A free three-session course led by Dr Tim Mills exploring how research, policy and classroom practice combine to improve the teaching of writing.

This course examines how research, national policy and classroom practice can work together to improve the teaching of writing. Led by Dr Tim Mills, it runs across three full-day sessions at 1-3 The Regatta in Lincoln, each from 9am to 3pm. Session 1 asks whether writing is just too difficult, Session 2 covers getting pupils to write in sentences, and Session 3 addresses paragraphing and the importance of redrafting. Attendees must attend all sessions.
