Bookbinding with Victoria Doyle

A hands-on Coptic bookbinding workshop where participants learn two stitches and make their own hand-bound book, open to all levels.

Delivered by Creative Workshops NE CIC, this workshop introduces Coptic binding, a technique with an exposed spine and flat-lay design ideal for sketchbooks. Participants are guided through the Coptic and Kettle stitches using specialist tools to produce their own hand-bound book. No previous experience is needed, and the binding process can be adapted to be accessible. The session is part of the not-for-profit's wellbeing-focused art programme serving queer, neurodiverse and low-income communities.
