Cambridge Art Class

A friendly two-hour drawing workshop for all levels at St Augustine's Church, led by local artist Jayne Ruffell-Ward.

This welcoming drawing group is open to all levels, including complete beginners. Sessions begin with simple warm-ups to get participants drawing straight away, then explore different materials and techniques — the autumn term moves from powdered charcoal to chalk pastels, working from tonal underdrawing to coloured, atmospheric pieces. Participants bring their own paper and sketchbook, with a lending box of materials available, and the emphasis is on learning by doing in a supportive atmosphere.
