About

Cecilia Vicuña’s participatory installation brings together plant matter, found objects and contributions gathered by local communities in Gallery 4.

First realised at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in 2025, Foraging Quipu is recreated at Whitechapel through an invitation for visitors to gather dry plant matter and lightweight debris. The installation forms a shared archive of ecological traces and everyday attention.
