Peter Hodkinson traces connections between UK aviation medicine and human spaceflight, from RAF research to spacesuit physiology.
The Stewart Memorial lecture explores how physiological challenges encountered in aviation continue to shape human spaceflight. Examples from King’s College London’s Spacesuit Physiology Laboratory illustrate work supporting future space explorers. Registration is 17:30–18:30; the lecture is 18:30–19:30, followed by drinks until 20:30. It is free to members and non-members.
