Queenswood, South Wood and Burghope Quarry Guided Walk

A two-mile guided walk from Queenswood through South Wood to Burghope Quarry.

Volunteer walk leader Nic Howes describes the landscape from the viewpoint, the coppicing in South Wood, wildlife and the geology of Burghope Quarry’s Bishop’s Frome Limestone outcrop. Meet outside the Queenswood visitor centre at 09:45 for a 10:00 start. The walk includes steep, potentially muddy ascents and descents and is not suitable for wheelchair users. This walk is for Herefordshire Wildlife Trust supporters only; parking is free for participants.
