Festival of the Dead – Wanstead and Ilford
About
A Day of the Dead-inspired family festival at Wanstead Library and Redbridge Central Library with a lantern parade, live acts, storytelling, author events, dance workshops and crafts.
Festival of the Dead returns across two Redbridge libraries, inspired by Day of the Dead customs from around the world. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to dress in bright colours or Day of the Dead costumes, with prizes for the best dressed, and to join a lantern parade with lights and glow sticks. The programme includes live acts, storytelling, author events, dance workshops and crafts, running 12:00 to 18:00 at Wanstead Library on 29 October and Redbridge Central Library on 30 October.
