We Are Aliens

In a rural Japanese town, two boys form a close friendship that changes when one becomes an outcast at school.

Scotland Loves Animation describes the film as a coming-of-age story spanning a thirty-year friendship between Tsubasa and Akitaro, whose bond is shaken by rumours and an irreversible incident. The published Picturehouse Central screening is part of the festival programme.
