An Evening With Dame Mary Beard: Talking Classics

Historian Dame Mary Beard discusses her book Talking Classics, exploring links between the ancient world and today, at Topping & Company Booksellers in Edinburgh.

Dame Mary Beard, Professor Emerita of Classics at Cambridge and co-host of the Instant Classics podcast, talks about her book Talking Classics. The book draws on half a century of teaching and study to show how the life, art and literature of ancient Greece and Rome connect with the present, from revolutionaries and dictators to figures like Bob Dylan and Beyoncé. The evening event takes place at the Edinburgh bookshop.
