About

A weekly drop-in at Battersea Arts Centre where 11–29-year-olds can build beatboxing and vocal skills and make music together.

The Autumn term welcomes young people of all abilities and experience to jam, develop beatboxing and vocal skills, and make music spanning hip-hop, grime, R&B and dubstep. The academy is led by hip-hop theatre practitioner and artistic director Conrad Murray, with other professional performers co-facilitating. Sessions run Thursdays from 6–8pm through 3 December; BAC describes the academy as free and suggests a £40 contribution for the term if participants are able.
