About

At this family screening, silent-film star Don Lockwood and Kathy Selden find their careers and romance reshaped by Hollywood’s transition to sound. Curator Susie Evans introduces the film.

Family Film Week brings Gene Kelly’s musical to the big screen for a younger audience. The Barbican describes the film’s Hollywood story, suggests age 6+, and requires adults to attend with a child and children to attend with an adult. The family programme publishes £5 adult and £2.50 under-18 tickets, with a £1.50 transaction fee; membership is not required.
