About

The Simon Spillett Big Band performs Tubby Hayes' big band music at The Concorde on 24 March 2027.

An all-star UK jazz orchestra led by tenor saxophonist Simon Spillett celebrates the music of saxophonist Tubby Hayes, performing Hayes' own arrangements alongside pieces by contemporaries Jimmy Deuchar and Harry South. The band aims to recreate the excitement of Hayes' 1960s big band, with a line-up including trumpeter Mark Armstrong, trombonist Mark Nightingale and saxophonist Alan Barnes. Doors open at 7pm with the band on stage at 8.15pm; over 18s only.
