Brantwood in Bloom
About
An exhibition tracing more than 200 years of change in Brantwood’s gardens and estate, including the history of the Wild Garden and Ruskin’s philosophies.
Brantwood in Bloom follows the evolution of the gardens and estate through successive custodians, from W. J. Linton and John Ruskin to Joan Severn, J. H. Whitehouse and the Brantwood Trust. It explores the Wild Garden and the gardens’ place in interpreting Ruskin’s ideas. The detail says the gardens and estate continue to evolve under the present team. The exhibition is included with House & Gardens admission. Brantwood lists the house as open daily 10:30–16:00; from 16 November its winter schedule is Wednesday–Sunday 10:30–15:00, with Christmas Day and Boxing Day closures. These are property visitor hours; the exhibition’s specific access hours and exact location are not stated.
