Wedding Open Weekend

A free open weekend at Gretna Green where couples tour wedding venues, watch live forging demonstrations and meet the wedding team.

Gretna Green's Wedding Open Weekend invites couples to explore the historic wedding venues, hotels and celebration spaces across the village. Visitors can see live forging demonstrations by the resident blacksmith in the new Blacksmith Forge, learn about Scottish traditions such as handfasting and the famous anvil, and travel through the village by land train. The wedding team is available for one-to-one appointments, and attendees get access to exclusive offers. All appointments begin at the Famous Blacksmiths Shop and must be booked in advance; all appointment times are currently fully booked with a waiting list in operation.
