Cardboard Citizens: The Meaning of Home
About
A free family workshop uses art, play and imagination to explore what home means, inspired by Jacqueline Wilson’s The Bed and Breakfast Star.
Cardboard Citizens invites children and families to explore belonging and the idea of home through creative activities. The workshop draws on Elsa, the child at the centre of The Bed and Breakfast Star, as part of a wider programme about housing insecurity and family homelessness. Suitable for ages 5+; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Entry is free without a ticket. The workshop takes place in the Clore Ballroom on Level 2 of the Royal Festival Hall, with an approximate running time of 90 minutes.
