Darrell Smith and the Soul Brothers Syndicate

A nine-piece Northern Soul band led by Proms vocal star Darrell Smith performs a narrated live show tracing Northern Soul's history, with special guests.

Darrell Smith and the Soul Brothers Syndicate present a live Northern Soul show with their nine-piece band, described as homage rather than tribute. The concert is narrated in timeline style, following the music from its beginnings at the Twisted Wheel in Manchester and the Golden Torch in Tunstall through to the Blackpool Mecca and Wigan Casino. The set list includes their charting singles 'The Drifter' and 'The Night' alongside classics such as 'There's a Ghost in My House' and 'Open the Door to Your Heart', with the band bringing humour and their own spirit to the performance.
