About
A two-day practical workshop explores medieval plant colours through pigment extraction, wool dyeing, parchment painting and embroidery.
On the first day participants extract pigments from madder, weld and woad and dye wool in prepared vats. The second day uses those colours to paint on parchment and embroider on a linen frame. Adults interested in heritage crafts can take part without previous experience.
