About
A seven-piece Glasgow band performs 1930s swing and popular songs in an intimate cabaret setting at Drygate.
The Blue Cat Orchestra is a seven-piece Glasgow band reviving the sound of 1930s dance bands, led by trumpeter Mick Cooke with vocals from Anthony Bowers. The evening features swing classics and hidden gems from bandleaders such as Ambrose, Billy Cotton, Jack Hylton and Roy Fox, plus numbers associated with Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman. Doors open at 7:30pm and the band plays two sets between 8pm and 10pm in an intimate cabaret setting, with vintage glam dress encouraged.
